If you’re reading this post, you’re probably aware Yamaha has terminated support for the VOCALOID2 import tool.

I’ll try to make this post short.

I have a VOCALOID2 import serial code but I don’t have the tool anymore.

You’re in luck. Zero-G has the tool available for download on their site.

  1. Click this link. (ignore that it’s Tonio’s page)
  2. Scroll down and look for “VOCALOID2_LibImportTool_2_0_1_Setup.exe.zip”
  3. Download and install.
  4. Input your import serial code.

I don’t have a VOCALOID2 import serial code.

Follow these steps:

  1. Contact your VOCALOID2 vendor/company and ask for an import serial code.
    • Zero-G has stated, they will provide import serial codes if you can prove you legally own a Zero-G Vocaloid2 product.
    • Note: Other companies might have different policies.
  2. Once you obtain an import serial code, get the Library Import tool.
    • Zero-G has the library import tool here.
      • Scroll down and look for “VOCALOID2_LibImportTool_2_0_1_Setup.exe.zip”.
      • Download and install.

Does this method work with the Tiny VOCALOID3 editor?

Yes. The import tool bypasses the initial restriction to purchase a full VOCALOID3 editor.
